Eagles take on Zambia without supporters
The two factions of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club were stopped from travelling to Ndola, Zambia on Saturday. President General, Rafiu Ladipo and Vincent Okumagba head the two factions with each laying claim as the authentic President. They had stormed the airport with their various supporters only to be shocked when the President of the Nigeria FootballFederation, Amaju Pinnick said none of the parties would travel. “We are going as a united family. We don’t need any distraction,”Pinnick said, adding, “I told them to organise themselves but they came to the airport baring their fangs. It will be embarrassing if they come here to fight. Prevention is better than disgrace.” But there were allegations of bias levelled against the NFF boss by the Ladipo camp. “Pinnick is supporting Okumagba because they are from the same place. Okumagba has been impeached,”they chorused at the airport. As it were, the Super Eagles are going to tackle the Chipolopolo today without the vociferous supporters club.
