A South Carolina high school teacher has been accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student and sending him X-rated images for more than three months.
Anna Patton, 22, an English teacher at Lamar High School, was arrested on Monday on charges of sexual battery with a student 16 to 17 years of age; disseminating obscene material to a person under 18 years, and criminal solicitation of a minor.
According to arrest warrants from the Darlington County Sheriff's Office, between October 1, 2019, and January 11, 2020, Patton had sexual intercourse and oral sex with the teenage boy.

Patton, who is believed to have a young son of her own, is also accused of sending the 16-year-old student nude photos via various social media accounts.

SCnow.com, accuse the educator of sending the boy text messages to entice him to have sex with her.
Patton was taken into custody based on evidence gathered in the course of the investigation and statements made by the alleged victim to law enforcement officials.
The 22-year-old remained in jail without bond on Monday afternoon.
In the wake of her arrest, the local school district has placed Patton on administrative leave pending the outcome of the case.
According to her Facebook page, Patton was hired as a teacher at Lamar High School in July 2019.
She graduated from Francis Marion University, a small liberal arts college in South Carolina, in the spring of 2019 after writing her honors thesis on the use of Nazi propaganda in German schools during the Third Reich.
According to a biographical Facebook post from November 2018, during her time in college Patton was the vice president of FMU Honors, a South Carolina Teaching Fellow and was on the board of directors of a charity helping foster families.
