Marketers Will Pay Naira for Dangote Fuel -IPMAN

Aliko Dangote Refined petroleum products from the $20bn Dangote Petroleum Refinery are to be sold in naira and not in the United States dollar as speculated in some quarters, oil marketers clarified on Monday. Dealers in the downstream oil sector also stated that the registration process for marketers at the refinery was still ongoing, as many operators had continued to register with the plant. It was further gathered that officials of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority were meeting with the management of the refinery to perfect the pricing template for products produced by the facility. On January 12, 2023, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery announced the commencement of production of Automotive Gas Oil, also known as diesel, and JetA1 or aviation fuel. Police arraign Sen. Adeleke, 4 others for alleged exam malpractice

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the Osun State election, Ademola Adeleke, has been arraigned at the Federal High Court, in Abuja.

Adeleke was arraigned by the police on a four-count charge of alleged examination malpractice alongside four others.

He and the other four pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Defendants were the principal of Ojo-Aro Community Grammar School, Osun State, Aregbesola Muftau; the Registrar of the school, Gbadamosi Ojo, a teacher in the school, Dare Olutope, and the senator’s cousin, Sikiru Adeleke.

The Prosecution accused three of the defendants of fraudulently registering Sen. Adeleke and his cousin, as students of Ojo-Aro Community Grammar School,  in Osun State, for the National Examination Council’s June/July 2017 Senior School Certificate Examination in February 2017.



Three of the Defendants, including the senator were, thereafter, granted bail, having filed their separate bail applications ahead of Thursday’s arraignment.

The court ordered him to deposit his international passport with the Registrar.
