Marketers Will Pay Naira for Dangote Fuel -IPMAN

Aliko Dangote Refined petroleum products from the $20bn Dangote Petroleum Refinery are to be sold in naira and not in the United States dollar as speculated in some quarters, oil marketers clarified on Monday. Dealers in the downstream oil sector also stated that the registration process for marketers at the refinery was still ongoing, as many operators had continued to register with the plant. It was further gathered that officials of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority were meeting with the management of the refinery to perfect the pricing template for products produced by the facility. On January 12, 2023, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery announced the commencement of production of Automotive Gas Oil, also known as diesel, and JetA1 or aviation fuel. Duties and responsibilities

THE POSITIONS:
Director Climate Change and Green Growth (Code 1608-004BL):

1.The Director will build and lead the Climate Change and Green Growth Directorate. S/he will lead the drive towards achieving universal access through green solutions. S/he will lead all efforts within the Bank to minimize and reverse the effects of Climate Change on the continent, including mainstreaming climate change and green growth in bank-wide implementation activities. The Director will deliver on three flagship (FS) programs of the New Deal on Energy for Africa: FS 7 – Promoting Bottom of the Pyramid Access Programs; FS 8 – Mobile Payment Program; and FS 9 – Access to Clean and Efficient Cooking Solutions.
Director Energy Statistics, Policy and Regulation (Code 1608-005TR):

2.The Director will build and lead the Energy Statistics, Policy and Regulation Directorate. S/he will support Regional Member Countries improve their policy and regulatory environments in order to achieve universal access by 2025. S/he will build capabilities within the Regional Member Countries to enable IPP investment within a standardized PPP framework. The Director will deliver on two flagship (FS) programs of the New Deal on Energy for Africa: FS1 – Standardized Independent Power Producer Procurement Program; and FS3 – Energy Efficiency Program.
Director, Power Systems Development (Code 1608-003TR):

3.The Director will build and lead the Power Systems Development Directorate. S/he will support Regional Member Countries and the private sector to develop and improve their national and regional Power Systems. The Director will deliver on four flagship (FS) programs of the New Deal on Energy for Africa: FS4 – Power Utility Transformation Program; FS5 – Early Stage Project Support Facility; FS6 – Funding Catalyst Program; and FS11 – Country Wide Energy Sector Transformation.
Director Renewable Energy (Code 1608-004TR):

4.The Director will build and lead the Renewable Energy (RE) Directorate. S/he will promote the development of renewable energy across Africa. S/he will create a framework for cost effective integration of RE in the energy mix of countries and will liaise with the Africa Renewable Energy Initiative to develop and implement bankable RE projects. S/he will deliver on one flagship (FS) program of the New Deal on Energy for Africa: FS2 – Renewable Energy Program.
Director Transformative Energy Partnerships (Code 1608-028L):

5.The Director will build and lead the Energy Partnerships Office. S/he will build, strengthen and maintain the Transformative Partnership on Energy for Africa by engaging and aligning DFIs, Regional and Non-Regional Member Countries, and the private sector. S/he will crowd-in funding to accelerate large-scale projects promoting regional integration and will strengthen the capacity of regional organizations. S/he will deliver on two flagship (FS) programs of the New Deal on Energy for Africa: FS12 – Transformative Partnership on Energy for Africa; and FS10 – Regional and Sub-Regional Project Acceleration Program.

The priority for the 2017 selection of the Mo Ibrahim Fellow is the Bank’s High 5 areas (lighting up and powering Africa; Feeding Africa; Industrializing Africa; Integrating Africa and Improving the quality of life for the people of Africa).
The key competences are strong policy analytical skills at all levels and ability to run models.

The Fellowship is for young professionals, mid-career or/and new executives.
The Fellow must:

   1. be a national of an African country, residing anywhere in the world;not be an active, non-active, retired, or separated staff member of the Bank;
    2.not have close family relations with an active or non-active staff member, such as spouse, mother, father, sister and brother;
  3.  Government officials, active military personnel and political party leaders are not eligible;
