Marketers Will Pay Naira for Dangote Fuel -IPMAN

Aliko Dangote Refined petroleum products from the $20bn Dangote Petroleum Refinery are to be sold in naira and not in the United States dollar as speculated in some quarters, oil marketers clarified on Monday. Dealers in the downstream oil sector also stated that the registration process for marketers at the refinery was still ongoing, as many operators had continued to register with the plant. Suspected Bandits Burn 16-Member Family To Death In Kaduna

Suspected bandits have killed a family of 16 members during an attack on a village in Kaduna State.

The incident occurred on Tuesday in Bakali village of Fatika district in Giwa Local Government Area of the state.

The bandits were said to have invaded the predominantly Hausa community at about 4pm and started shooting sporadically.

While the villagers scampered to safety, the assailants set fire on houses, vehicles, motorcycles and farm products in the village.

A community leader told Channels Television on Wednesday that the bandits who invaded the village in their number locked up 16 members of the same family in a room and set fire on the house.

He added that many of the villagers have fled their homes for fear of repeated attacks.

Police authorities in the state have also confirmed the incident to Channels Television.

The spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command, Muhammed Jalige, however, said they have yet to ascertain the number of people killed in the attack.

He revealed that a team of policemen have been deployed to the area to ascertain how the incident occurred and restore calm in the area.
